Resources for action
The Town of Chino Valley website has a good introduction to the Mayor and council members. We have a list of contacts for them including a couple email addresses. Why not pick up the phone? They will most likely be glad to talk to you and to hear what you have to say. Cecilia Watts, the Town Hall Aministrative Assistant, will pass on printouts of email sent to
.
The Planning & Zoning Commission is also important in what is happening. They have regular meetings which are posted on the town web site, and interested parties are free to attend. You can contact them at
or
, where the email will be printed and passed on to them. Also write them directly at P.O. Box 406, Chino Valley, AZ 86323.
If you have not registered to vote, please do so. There is an easy online form for the purpose. We will also need people to help register others before the next elections.
The Daily Courier receives submissions for Letters to the Editor online. Many of the newspaper stories allow comments via the web.
Articles on this site also allow comments for registered users. To register, please use the ‘Sign Up’ link and fill in as much of the information as possible. We will confirm the information and create a user for you, and then you will be able to contribute to the pages directly. If you have ideas you would like to share privately, please send a message via the Sign up form.
Here are some tools for organizing from among the many on the web. There is much that needs doing by concerned citizens around Chino, and there are many different ways of going about it. Mr. Perkin’s lawyers are busy going to council meetings, chamber of commerce meetings, and neighborhood meetings. Concerned citizens need to be even more active than the lawyers since we are generally working with fewer resources. Think of your house and land and the other things that are dear to you about the area, however, and you will be inspired to action.
